This feels like a refusal to be anesthetised, and I mean that as the highest praise. You name something so many of us feel but are subtly trained to mistrust—that healing, as it’s often sold, asks us to sand ourselves down until we’re quiet enough to be palatable. The way you frame tension not as a flaw but as the very source of aliveness, intelligence, and music is striking and clarifying. This doesn’t read like rebellion for its own sake; it reads like devotion to what’s real, embodied, and uncontainable. Appreciate you for defending the mess, the fire, and the dignity of staying with what refuses to be resolved.
Anil, I’m deeply moved by your reflection. ‘A refusal to be anesthetized’ is exactly it. There is a specific kind of dignity in the unresolved parts of us, and I think we lose so much intelligence when we try to quiet the tension prematurely. Thank you for meeting me in the mess and the fire.
I love the soul of this and your heart-cry is viscerally tasted. I resonate with so much of what you said.
I think there are different ways integration is looked at and I just wanted to sprinkle my perspective. Because I actually am horny for "integration" but I don't see it the sterilized way.
For me, integration is hanging out with those clashing ghosts at a dance party I throw and serving them tea. Letting them vent. Hearing their stories and their perspectives. Ultimately, your shadows, parts, ghosts, whatever you want to name them are trying to protect some part of you. But, they don't always understand that the way they do it isn't helping and is actually hurting you.
Integration to me, is much like Parts or IFS work. The integration is in restoring the relationship with each one because they're already aligned in the goal of protecting YOU -- but they have VASTLY differing opinions on what that means and how to go about it. To me, integration is anything but sterile -- it's a messy, emotional, intimate, process with a lot of unity-dance parties and bubbles. -Steph
Deep Truth is realized for me, not when I first experience it but a moment later when I reach up and catch it flowing past. This submission is Truth and such a healing energy for me, for sure,, but I am confident many, many more if we’re willing to listen. This post is so powerful to me. Thank you from my soul! Whispering Winds.
What a beautiful knowing, Jay. Truth is often recognized in the reaching, not the first touch. Thank you for listening beyond the surface and letting it move through you. Your words are a mirror too. 🤍
I don’t hear “dumb” in this at all. I hear the moment wisdom loosens its grip on certainty. That’s usually where the real work begins. Thank you for reading so openly. 🙌🏻✨
Quantum entanglement towards singularity. I love that your writing aligns well with the energy of the universe.
We can train our bodies to do anything, even if it conflicts with our sense of being.
It doesn’t have to be that way. We can decide what to eat, drink, and think. We can support someone doing something even if it’s not what we think is right.
It’s how we learn to love what we do. Thank you for sharing these beautiful thoughts

I feel like I’ve have a gift of giving insight and wisdom, but the insight and wisdom I got from this article makes me feel dumb 😅

This is beautifully said. Choice, attention, and love feel deeply intertwined here.
Thank you for reading so thoughtfully. I’m really glad this spoke to you.
Ah, I like your wildness. Refreshing.
What a mighty fine compliment. Thank you, Jud. I admire the wildness in you too. 🔥
Great piece, Jeanette.
Means a lot, Sean. Thank you. 🤍✨
